Description: Epitaxial Equipment Engineer, Maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, semiconductor, Epitaxial deposition equipment. This position is located in the Kansas City area, where entertainment and attractions abound in every direction! The Epitaxial Equipment Engineer is responsible for the improvement of mechanical yields of equipment sets through procedure or tool improvements and technician training in the Epi process area. Duties include: • Driving equipment performance improvements through uptime, MTBF, MTTR & OEE; • Tracking and managing installation of equipment; • Assisting the Maintenance Manager in training programs for maintenance technicians; • Maintaining spare parts and reducing the cost of spares; • Performing equipment maintenance; • Providing equipment utilization reports, analyzing fail codes; • Establishing and driving equipment cost reduction plans; • Implementing and ensuring adherence to Lock Out/Tag Out procedures. Required skills: • 5+ years progressive equipment troubleshooting experience in the semiconductor industry; • Experience with Epitaxial deposition equipment, board-level troubleshooting, semiconductor processing; • Experience on Gemini 2 and CSD Epi Pro 5000 Epi reactors is strongly preferred; • Experience with Lumonics laserscribers is a plus; • The ability to identify key equipment issues, evaluate options and take action; • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Proteus or similar; • Excellent oral and written communication skills; • The desire to develop technical staff; • The ability to influence at all levels and to bring departments together to solve problems.
